As the earliest rapid charging technology to catch on in any volume, CHAdeMO helped early electric cars like the Nissan LEAF and Mitsubishi I-Miev tackle long-distance trips. But now, as every major automaker has dropped the standard outside of Europe, and Electrify America has committed to not install CHAdeMO stations at new locations it’s got us thinking: Is CHAdeMO dead?
